Incomparable Talent Beyond Imagination

I'm sure everyone is enjoying watching the Olympic gymnastics competitions.  It's remarkable to see the dedication and skill levels of all these olympians which seems humanly impossible.  It's not often that one gets a chance to work on a once in a lifetime project.  This exactly what I've been working on for 3 1/2 years with the most extraordinary, talented and committed performers whose abilities reach far beyond gymnastics, dance and ballet.  The majority of the images have been a frozen instant of time, shot at 1/5,000 of a second.  It has been the most profound pleasure for me to work with such gifted and exceptional olympians of a different level for my upcoming unique, very elegant, limited edition coffee table book " Luminosa ", which will be published by mid 2013.  In addition to their stellar talent, their quest for perfection is not only remarkable but unparalleled.

What a difference!

                                                                                                                                                   A

                                                                                                                                                   B

I recently came back from teaching a workshop in CA. My first stay was at a boutique  hotel (picture A) in LA...
Exquisite decor, extraordinary and moody lighting. Then I stayed in another hotel in a smaller town in Southern CA which was the same ordinary hotel decor (picture B).
It made me think that everything we do in life could be approached to the highest level of artistry. Stand out from everyone else or play it safe and look like everyone else...

Canon Digital Learning Workshop

Just had a few minutes to review some of the shots from Canon Digital Learning Workshop. That my assistant Dilhan took. They bring back great memories of being such an energetic and great group of people.
We did so many different and fun photo/lighting situations. I think pushed everybody too hard. And I think I wore everybody out. All the emails which I receive from the attendees so positive and rewarding. Thank you my friends!
